Thank you very much for participating in the Coming-of-Age Ceremony 2022 presented by Nadeshiko-kai. Due to the recent infection situation, a lot of last-minute changes occurred. However, we are glad that we were able to hold this wonderful SEIJINSHIKI . All the staff and volunteers of Nadeshiko-kai were relieved and felt happy that we were able to share the moment of this wonderful coming-of-age ceremony. All the new adulthood participants were so handsome and beautiful in kimonos . Seijinshiki was a very special and emotional moment for their parents and family, who have watched their son and daughter grow up close to them. I would like to express my sincere congratulations. This year marked the 10th coming-of-age ceremony since the first one was held in LA. In Japan, coming-of-age ceremonies are usually held by municipalities throughout the country. This year in particular, we could not hold a fundraising event because of the COVID situation, and we started preparations with no sponsors, so we had some doubts about holding the event. However, we were able to make it to this day with the support of so many volunteers and staff. This was the first time that we held an individual certificate awarding ceremony style in the form of a family ceremony (It was 22 times ceremonies), but it was more than just wearing a kimono and taking pictures. The coming-of-age ceremony is an initiation and a milestone in one's life. I would be very happy if we could convey to you that all society is supporting and encouraging the new adults who will become a bridge between Japan and the United States.
