In the first phase, we offered over 200 masks to our friends and extended families who supported our cause, regardless of donations.
But with the generous donations of those you contributed, we were able to acquire good quality cotton fabric, yukata fabric, and other necessities we needed to make masks and shipping materials as well, so that we are now able to offer masks to the public.
Each mask is made by hand with extra care, with yukata fabric (cotton kimono), high quality cotton lining, and another high quality cotton in between.
Since we started making masks, we have heard very positive and productive reviews from you, which helped us to make significant improvements. Our volunteer sewing team is now confident to offer our masks.
Asking donation is from $5 for a kid’s mask and $10 for an adult mask, and they can be shipped to anywhere in the US. As all of Nadeshikokai’s events and activities have been cancelled, your donations for the Mask Project will help us do what we believe in, and specially it will be a fundraising for the coming-of-age ceremony event which will be held in January 2021.
To order masks, go to Nadeshikokai’s order site and fill out the order form. Please feel free to share our story and the link to your family and friends.
